Hi, Eric with Lush Green. I wanted to talk about the IPS beetle on pinyon pine one more time. It’s now the active period it’s April through October. So if you have pinyon pine trees, do not cut live branches or the tree unless you’re going to remove the tree completely from the property. The Ips beetles are active during this period. A great resource for you is the Colorado State University Extension And Colorado State Forest Service has a fact sheet on it that tells you what you can do as a homeowner if you’d like to treat it yourself. Otherwise, there are companies like us and others that can also help you with that.
